Packing Guide: The Regency Suite & Deck

The great thing about The Regency Suite & Deck in Jamaica is that attire is resort casual – meaning you can get as casual as you want, as long as you’re wearing a coverup and sandals. But when you’re headed to dinner with your new husband, you probably want to look like you put a little more effort into getting ready. Here’s our style guide for dinner at Royal Caribbean’s Regency Suite & Deck!

What to Pack - The Regency Suite and Deck

1. A neutral sandal like this one from Dolce Vita is perfect to pack. You can wear it casual during the day or dressed up at night, like in this instance.

2. A silk camisole is an awesome wardrobe staple. In this pretty navy color, it will show off your tan and keep you cool in the hot Jamaica weather.

3. Woven clutches such as this one from C.Wonder are perfect for dinner. What more do you need to fit than a camera and lip gloss?

4. White linen pants are the go-to vacation pant. They go with pretty much everything and are more than comfortable.

5-7. Gold jewelry with a bursts of color added are great pieces to pack. You can pair these bracelets and necklaces with multiple outfits and they’ll look amazing with this one.

The Regency Suite & Deck - Royal Caribbean

In my opinion, one of the biggest perks of staying at a resort like the Royal Caribbean in Jamaica is that most meals are all inclusive. Your rate includes not only your room, but meals as well. Today, we’re highlighting one restaurant in particular: the Regency Suite and Deck at the Royal Caribbean resort. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and dress is resort casual – meaning you can wear jeans or even a swimsuit coverup if you would like! This makes it incredibly easy to grab a quick and delicious bite to eat before heading on an excursion or to the beach. Or if you feel like getting a little fancier, you can do that too! The menu offers a variety of options, from seafood to pasta to salads, so you’re sure to find something you like! An even bigger plus – you can choose to dine inside in the beautiful ballroom or outside on the terrace overlooking the ocean while watching the sun set.

Packing Guide: Royal Caribbean Resort Beaches

Why is it that I always dread packing? I should be packing my bags for days ahead, anxious for my vacation! But it never fails – I’m always packing the night before or morning of when I’m supposed to leave. But to go on a honeymoon to a tropical destination?! Now that is something to be excited about! Here’s what I’d be packing in my suitcase for Jamaica’s beaches.

What to Pack for the Beach - Royal Caribbean

1. A big brimmed sun hat like this one from J.Crew is a must! It’s great to get sun, but the rays are much stronger in the Caribbean than at your neighborhood pool! Keep this hat nearby for when you want to stay in the sun but need to keep your face shaded.

2. Sunglasses are essential – do we really need an explanation?!

3. A bright, flirty swimsuit is fun for a Jamaican vacation. So tropical!

4. Personally, I hate if I don’t have a beach bag! This one from Lands End is a best-seller for a reason – the sturdy shape makes it easy to pack and the zip top is a great option to keep sand out. Plus, you can choose from a variety of colors and different monogram options on the Lands End website. How great is that?!

5. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. No one wants to burn on the first day and ruin the rest of their days in the sun! Neutrogena is a great option because it feels weightless – my number one choice for my face.

6. Cozy up during the sunset with your husband in a two-person towel like this cute striped one from Target.

7. You can’t go wrong with a great swimsuit cover up from Calypso St. Barth. Cover ups are so much more stylish than a t-shirt and shorts! Pack this for lunch breaks, water excursions, and trips to the offshore island! You’ll be so glad you have it.

I think the beach is calling your name….

If you’re anything like me, when you think vacation, you think beach! And if you’re going on a vacation in the Caribbean, you’re probably looking for lots and lots of time spent on the beach. Luckily, Royal Caribbean resort in Jamaica has beautiful, white sand beaches to relax on as well as a private, offshore island that offers even more seclusion. Like the other Sandals resorts, Royal Caribbean offers plenty of unlimited water sports right off the beach, such as snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, and scuba diving. If you need to take a break from all the activities – that’s no problem! Just grab a chair and soak in some rays, or head to the private island and get a relaxing massage under one of the beach cabanas. How’s that for relaxation?! I think I’m ready to book now!

Keys to the Choosing the Right Honeymoon Destination

Let’s be honest. Choosing a honeymoon destination can be stressful. There are so many amazing destinations that picking one can seem somewhat daunting. But a honeymoon shouldn’t be stressful! It’s a vacation from all the wedding planning and excitement that just filled up your last year. It’s a time to relax and enjoy your time with the person you love. Today we’ve put together a few tips to make choosing a honeymoon destination one less thing to worry about!

keys to choosing the right honeymoon destination

Honeymoon Tips - Determine Budget

This is one of the most important steps in picking a destination. How much can you spend? Can you afford to go out of the country? Maybe you are willing to have a shorter honeymoon for a pricier destination. Sandals offers a Honeymoon Registry – a great option to offset honeymoon costs. You register for activities, meals, or special honeymoon touches, then family and friends can “gift” these items to you. It’s a perfect way to add what might not have been in the budget before!

Honeymoon Tips - Choose Location

Narrow down your ideal location. Sandals has resorts in Jamaica, St. Lucia, Antigua, and the Bahamas. Maybe you’ve been to the Bahamas before, but want to visit a new location, like St. Lucia. Honeymoons are a great time to be adventurous and go somewhere you wouldn’t otherwise.

Honeymoon Tips - Pick Vacation Vibe

Once you have narrowed down a location or two, decide what vibe you want. Resorts and hotels vary – some are for the couple who simply want peace and quiet, like Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas. Other resorts, such as Sandals Montego Bay in Jamaica, offer a high energy, party scene that may fit your needs. Do you want to lay by the pool or do you want to be active, seeing the country’s culture? Pick a location that will suit your mood post wedding.

Honeymoon Tips - List Must Haves

Is a swim-up bar a necessity? What about 24/7 room service? Do you want options for activities outside the resort? A wide variety of restaurants? How about easy travel to and from the airport? Make a list of your vacation must-haves and research different Sandals resorts to find one that will match your needs.

There are obviously many factors that go into deciding on a honeymoon location, and these are just some of many suggestions. Good luck planning!
